Preparing For 2020 | Self-Development Thoughts + Check In

This is a fun and weird time of the year.

If you are someone who celebrates the holidays, there are a lot of exciting events coming up and some things to look forward to. Of course, with all of these events comes a range of stress and planning but let’s not go there right now.

But not only are a lot of us getting ready for Christmas and all of the things that this holiday brings, we may also be thinking about what is going to be coming up next.

As I have said for a couple of years now, I really like to make plans.

New Year is the best time of year for us to start making plans and it is a time of year where we are encouraged to reflect on the past 12 months.

This is something I spend a lot of time doing anyway, so you can imagine that my brain is working in overdrive during this period!

I’m hoping to document some of my thoughts and plans on this blog for 2020 – which sounds like such a scary but exciting year don’t you think? – but beforehand I just wanted to check in.

Are you trying to make plans for the New Year or are you just too much in Christmas mode to think of anything serious right now?

I’m struggling with motivation at the moment, which is something I always have to deal with in December, but I really do want to push myself to be reflective and make plans for the upcoming year.

I also want to make sure I have enough time and energy to enjoy the holiday season with my loved ones, because that seems to be something I have forgotten to do over the past few years.

Thanks for sticking with me friends. Here’s hoping for more content and big plans for the future.

Speak soon,
