I’m writing this blog post as a reminder to myself and anyone else who may need it. Because it can be tough out there, and making changes never gets easier. Heck, even getting through the day can be hard enough sometimes.
Things often feel worse when you don’t see progress or when you feel as though no one notices what you’re doing.
Show up anyway.
It doesn’t matter who sees you, who witnesses the changes in you, or who reads your content. The fact you are doing it in the first place is an achievement, and that shouldn’t be hindered by a lack of audience or appreciation.
Showing up every day is hard – whether you are actively creating a new routine for yourself, starting a hobby, or simply getting through your daily tasks.
If you watch the news or consume social media, it can feel as though bad things are always happening and this will take a toll. What does it matter what you do with your day when there are wars, pain, and heartbreak happening across the world?
Show up anyway.
Whether you have clearly defined goals or just want to try your best to get through the day, please keep showing up. Even if it hurts or feels particularly hard today; these are the moments that matter the most.
Treat yourself like a person that matters, because you are.
From losing weight and writing a blog, to raising kids and caring for parents, to even just getting out of bed, it doesn’t matter what you do. There are so many ways you can show up for yourself and I want you to keep going. It doesn’t matter who sees or what they have to say.
Show up anyway.
You keep showing up, and I will too. In our own ways.
Speak soon,
Rachael
